Pink Sherbet Original Landscape Painting

I have always loved green fields and wild flower meadows.  To walk through the fields on a hot summer's day, to gaze out over the pastures and inhale the fresh breeze blowing on your face.  These are the emotions I hope my paintings evoke in the viewer.  

This painting gives a feeling of quietness and space. So many of us now live in crowded towns and cities and we have lost the quietness and space in our lives that our ancestors had.  This often makes us stressed and exhausted. Nature has a way of bringing peace to the very centre of our being, and I hope this artwork helps to bring a sense of peace and space to the viewer.

Soft Layers of paint have been used to keep the painting fresh.  Pastel pinks give a sense of summer, and the pale shades of green have a calming effect.  Texture has been introduced to the artwork by the addition of recycled fabrics and different types of marks have been made in the paint in order to help the viewer feel the grasses blowing in the gentle breeze.  The rolling hills in the distance lead you on a journey into the picture and give the eye something new to discover.
