Dark Grasses Original Landscape Painting

This semi-abstract grass painting has a dark, moody feel with some bright pops of colour to make it stand out in your home. The landscape painting has been created using a range of acrylic paints, inks, pastels and mark making techniques to create an artwork full of texture. Mixed media tools have been used to scratch dark grasses into the acrylic, creating a painting full of atmosphere and feeling. I have combined dark, black paint with lime, peach, lilac and hints of pale yellow and blue to create a real contrast between the pale, pastel tones and the inky blacks and greys. To add to the semi-abstract nature of the landscape, I have used an oil pastel and a pen to add peach coloured lines throughout the painting to add the suggestion of grasses and paths, without adding too much detail.

This painting would be ideal for hanging in a modern home, adding a pop of colour to a plain room, or more atmosphere and drama to a bright room. The original artwork is provided in a white mount, which is perfect for displaying on a shelf or mantelpiece in a living room, bedroom or entryway. If you wanted to hang the painting on a wall to make it a bright centrepiece in your home, it would be really easy to pop it into a square frame (not provided with purchase) - I think that a plain white frame or a striking black frame would really compliment the painting.
